Dr. Raul Piñon Jr.

Medical Director, Alabama

Dr. Raul Piñon Jr., an esteemed emergency physician, leader, consultant, and educator, maintains medical licenses in six states: Alabama, Colorado, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, and Wyoming.

With over two decades of experience, Raul, a dual board-certified practitioner in emergency medicine and family practice, began his career as a Major in the United States Air Force. During his service, he held the position of Chief Medical Officer for the Special Operations Command.

Currently, he serves as chief of staff for Vaughn Regional Medical Center, where he’s worked since 2015. In 2020, he was awarded Medical Director of the Year by TeamHealth, and he has served as a board member for the American Board of Physician Specialties since 2022.

He lives in Wetumpka, Alabama, and has been married to his wife, Brittney, for 11 years. They enjoy flying, traveling, motorcycle riding and fishing.

Todd Turpin

Vice President – Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Todd grew up working on cars, so it was only natural he began his career in the automotive industry. He served as departmental manager handling millions of dollars in inventory. After 23 years in the automotive industry, Todd became an EMT and started his second career in emergency medical services.

Todd furthered his education as an advanced paramedic and leveraged his leadership skills in the EMS industry, progressing from field training officer to operations supervisor.

Todd has been married to his wife, Sandy, for six years. They have five children and four grandchildren between the two of them. He loves traveling and spending time outdoors with his family and pets.

David Grayson

Vice President, Revenue Cycle & Billing

David brings more than 35 years of multi-faceted EMS experience, holding roles as an administrator, consultant, educator, paramedic and dispatcher. Apart from EMS, David stands as a seasoned entrepreneur, investing in various business ventures. Notably, he founded and led CareMed EMS in Oxford, Mississippi, for six years before its integration into the AmeriPro family.

David served multiple terms as the president of the Mississippians for Emergency Medical Services, the largest EMS association in the state. He also serves on the Mississippi EMS Advisory Council, Mississippi Trauma Care Advisory Committee, Mississippi Stroke Care Advisory Committee, Central MS EMS District Board of Directors, and is the advisory committee chairman for the Coahoma Community College paramedic program. Additionally, he is currently an adjunct faculty at Columbia Southern University.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Mississippi, a Master of Business Administration from Millsaps College and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Sacred Heart University.

Away from work, he enjoys college sports, travel, sailing and volunteering with several community organizations.

Jeff Avinger

Director of Operations, Florida

Jeff began his EMS career in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2010 where he quickly established himself in the private ambulance industry, earning Paramedic of the Year and Florida Star of Life accolades. As a high-level clinician and leader, Jeff has led the development, implementation and oversight of critical care, community paramedicine and sports medicine programs.

Currently, as director of operations for Florida, he oversees patient and crew satisfaction, operational stability and market expansion.

Jeff is a licensed Florida paramedic and earned his critical care certification from the University of Florida in 2013. He is pursuing his Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s School of Nursing.

Jeff lives in St. Augustine, and has been married to his wife, Francine, for 10 years. They enjoy traveling, outdoor recreation and spending time with their three children.

Joe Rose

Director of Operations, Kentucky and Indiana

With a career beginning in EMS in 2014, Joe has rapidly risen through the ranks, demonstrating a profound commitment to operational and clinical excellence. Since joining AmeriPro Health in August 2023, he has been instrumental in redefining leadership dynamics, fostering stakeholder relationships, and spearheading safety and clinical advancements within the organization.

Joe’s extensive experience in EMS includes leading large-scale operations for major events such as The Kentucky Oaks & Derby and Thunder over Louisville, showcasing his adeptness in managing complex healthcare scenarios. His tenure in the field is marked by a consistent focus on public safety and effective emergency response, particularly in Southern Indiana.

Prior to his journey in EMS, Joe honed his leadership skills as a Human Resources Leader at UPS, a role that has significantly influenced his approach at AmeriPro Health. His innovative and employee-centric strategies have been pivotal in reducing turnover, enhancing staff development, and boosting morale.  Currently pursuing studies in Business Administration and public Health at the University of the Cumberland, Joe is also a nationally registered Advanced EMT in Kentucky and Indiana. His commitment to education extends to his role as a certified EMS Educator with the National Association of EMS Educators, underlining his dedication to nurturing the next generation of EMS professionals. At AmeriPro Health, Joe is known for his strategic vision, operational acumen, and unwavering dedication to elevating standards in emergency medical services.

Ethan Gray

Director of Operations, South Georgia

Ethan is a dedicated and detail-oriented leader with a proven track record of excellence in the EMS field. With extensive experience in managing and leading dynamic EMS systems, Ethan is at the forefront of delivering top-quality emergency services.

As the Director of Operations for AmeriPro South Georgia Operations, Ethan oversees a wide-ranging territory, including eight counties, and leads South Georgia’s 911 and IFT operations. His role involves managing crucial relationships with county officials and hospital partners, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and implementing strategic unit deployment based on demand analytics.

Ethan lives in Barnesville Ga with his Wife and two kids where he Spends most his time outdoors.

Jason Homer

Director of Operations, Michigan

With over 30 years of experience in emergency medical services, Jason is currently the Director of Michigan Operations with AmeriPro Health EMS, following their acquisition of Rapid Response EMS in 2024.

Jason has held executive roles overseeing operations, finance, strategic planning, and compliance.  Prior to this, Jason served as Vice President and Director of Marketing at Rapid Response EMS and General Manager at Medic One Ambulance. His background includes expertise in strategic business development, corporate compliance, and EMS operation efficiencies.  Jason proudly holds an active seat on the Detroit East Medical Control Authority Advisory Board, has a degree in Applied Science and is a licensed paramedic with numerous certifications in emergency management, disaster response and leadership training.

Jason lives in the Detroit area (Go Tigers) with his wife Jennifer of 28 years and their three children.  Outside of business, Jason and his family are avid travelers who enjoy visiting the world.

Brian Bishop

Director of Partner Integration. KY, IN, OH, MI, MO, AR

Brian’s journey in the EMS field began on the streets of Louisville, KY, where he started as an EMT. Over the years, his dedication and expertise led him through various roles, including paramedic, street supervisor, service director, and ultimately, State EMS director for Kentucky. Brian continues to serve as a paramedic for AmeriPro Health today. Brian earned his bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville University and pursued a master’s degree in molecular biology at Western Kentucky University, further enriching his knowledge and skills.

His extensive experience also includes two terms in Kentucky state government, where he has led both the Board of Emergency Medical Services and the Board of Dentistry. Brian’s knack for fostering partnerships and uniting diverse groups toward a shared goal has made him exceptionally suited for his current role.

Outside of his professional life, Brian is deeply rooted in his personal life. He and his wife, Heather, have raised three children together. Brian finds joy in traveling, tending to his vegetable garden, cooking, and embracing the outdoors. Springfield, KY, is where Brian and his family call home, and he cherishes his lifelong connection to the Commonwealth.
