ATLANTA (March 25, 2026) – AmeriPro Health (AmeriPro), an industry leader in emergency services, patient logistics, and technology-driven healthcare services, announced today that it has been awarded a contract through a competitive bid process to provide expanded supplemental 911 ambulance coverage in partnership with the City of Detroit and the Detroit Fire Department (DFD).
Under the new agreement, AmeriPro will staff and operate eight ambulances, with additional scalable capacity, for 12 hours per day, seven days a week, supporting emergency response efforts across the City of Detroit. Approximately 75 percent of the units will be Advanced Life Support (ALS), strengthening access to paramedic-level care throughout the city.
Detroit’s 911 system responds to approximately 168,000 emergency calls annually, placing sustained demand on frontline resources. AmeriPro’s supplemental deployment model is designed to enhance system resiliency, improve unit availability during peak demand periods, and support timely patient transport in coordination with DFD.
